The Celtic Animals by Illahie The Celtic Animals by Illahie
On request, a picture that contains all the designs in one image.

This is the Celtic Animals range, containing some lesser re-presented animals of Celtic lore and what they can mean to us.

The animal range has been created because I felt that most of the Celtic jewellery these days did not do them any favours. These pendants have a matted/roughed up silver background, making them look more stone-like, symbolizing their connection with nature, the land and the past. The animals figures are raised from the rough base, with a smooth surface and accented with 18kt gold. These designs are based on a modern-day blend of Pictish and late Celtic styling. The range is available world-wide through the PeterStone Company as the 'GrayWolf Collection'; [link]

They are beautiful! :D I love the seal and the dragonfly!

Although I do miss the horse, horses are also important in Celtic culture. :)

Horse is in the second series that hasn't been produced yet... nor does it have a producing date yet. As is Raven, Stag, Weasel, Bull, Cat and Fox :)

What were your sources for the animal names? They're different from the ones I've seen most everywhere else.

Perhaps it's to do with the provincial differences in Irish Gaelic, but these are the more common used ones in the (somewhat older) Ulster dialects

Excellent. I love how each one has its own meaning... I just might look into buying one :)
btw... I don't know if you would know the answer, but where would one find what Celtic animal you relate to? Just random question XD

Loads of research in older manuscripts and such. There are tons of new/age books on the matter, but they´ve been so ´dumbed down´ it´s not funny. So instead we took to the old manuscripts and stories, and looked to what the animals meant to the people in those days :)

You might want to update your links on this, I did manage to find them on that website but they seem to have changed their layout some. :)
