My wolf print Equestrienne corset, with a deep 'plunge' front of 14", and it curves out and goes into the natural hip. Waist is 20" on this one, and it's made from blue wolf fabric (sorry... I'm a wolf nut), and the top trim has black feathers all around. REALLY comfortable and really pretty!
Owch. My stomach started to hurt as soon as I saw this. It IS really pretty though, the corset. Wolves are beautiful animals. Where did you pick this up at?
*giggles* I'm a professional corset maker I make custom corsets for customers, from their own designs or they can let me design things for them. The best thing about a custom made corset is that it's made-to-measure.. over 18 measuring points are needed for each corset... and because it's made to such a exact fit it won't hurt.
Because this corset ends at the point where the hips begin you can easily do horse riding in these corsets. I don't do horse riding.. I just *love* the deep plunge look in the front.
OK, so I MUST know how you do this, or how much you charge. I am SO TIRED of the corsets you see online that just are so plain. I need a special one for next February. If I can't make it myself, I want to talk to you about making it. (This is not a casual inquiry; I'm serious.)
Believe me, I've been a professional tight-lacer for a long time now and was sick and tired of the bad fitting plain corsets.. as soon as I got a custom made one I felt how comfortable it was.. and then I went into tight-lacing
It's still really new, and there's not a lot on it yet.
Basically I do all kinds of corset making. I make corsets from atleast two layers of fabric, in case of tight-lacing three, with atleast 14-16 steel bones in them. I can go for more or less, but I give advice along the way.
What I want customers to do is to just draw up their dream design, front look and back look (and side, if there's anything special about it) and from that I'll create a pattern and make the entire corset. I send the customer the measurement forms, which will be filled out. From that, and the pattern, I make a 'mock-up' from canvas, which will be send to the customer for final fitting. You can put it on and lace it tight so you can see if the fitting is exactly as you wanted it to be, if not, you can draw on the canvas and I'll fix it up. Once the Mock-up has been approved I make the actual corset, in any fabric you want.
Design it yourself underbusts start at $240
Design it yourself overbusts start at $190
Plain waist cinchers are around $120-$150
I also have a deal with the 'The mountain' company, so I'm allowed (as the only one!) to use their t-shirt fronts as corset material.. which brings forth looks like this: [link]
